Dress Code & Other Bits…

Dress code is semi-formal. The Conservatory is weather proof and temperature in the main glasshouse of the Conservatory is kept to a minimum of 11C- so those coming from warmer climates may need to bring an appropriate coat.

For those invited children, there will be a ‘time out’ area away from the main celebrations for those whom their excitement peaked too soon or need a break from the cordial. We ask that you help us by supervising your children and considering the comfort of other guests, especially during important times like the ceremony and speeches. On a more serious note - the Barbican staff would like us to remind you the Conservatory is not a playground and while we encourage supervised exploration, stairs and unfenced water features could pose a serious risk of injury if your child is left unattended.

If you have any specific dietary requirements please let Philip or Shea know when you RSVP. These can be easily catered for if we know in advance. Extra protein options aren’t available.

Presents, while always lovely, are not necessary. For those who are insistent, we are always happy for you to consider something like this.
